Farloe Reason showed his class in the first heat of the second round of the ibetX.com Scottish derby at Shawfield stadium in front of a decent crowd , Farloe Reason showed tremendous early pace to take a lead early doors, and the result was never in doubt as reason kept up the pace throughout to win in convincing fashion with the fastest heat of the night ,Thurlesberg Joker who missed most of the trouble in running ran on to snatch second place with the final qualifying place going to Ninja Jamie who was well backed on the night , Jamie was very slowly into stride and found trouble in running although disappointing again, we have still to see the best of Jamie although he doesnt seem to run this track well i would not rule him out of this competition

Drumna Classic got the Irish greyhounds of to a winning start similar to Farloe Reason in the first heat, Classic got off to a flier and lead early doors ,after trouble at the first bend were Glengar Alfred boxed on the rails started to move off at the first bend and caused havoc with most of the field being hampered , Ja Mann who was well fancied came off the worst , leaving Daleys Buzz and Cabra Cool the only challengers to Classic , Daleys Buzz ran on for second place with Cabra Cool making it a one , two, three for the Irish

Must Be Keano improved on his recent run around the track and like both heats before the early pace greyhound was never in danger, runner up Forest Master who found a little trouble in running ran on well to make it a one , two for trainer Fraser Black with Head Iton Ellis running on into third place

Slip The Lark made it three Irish trained winners in a row and this was an impressive display by Slip The Lark although perfectly drawn on the outside , this result was never in doubt from the off and he sent the punters home happy with some tasty bets  landed although drifting in the market. opening at even money and drifting to 5/4 then went of at 6/4 on the night , litter brothers Mill Pinpoint and Crown Rover both ran on well to qualify for the semi finals
