DISAPPOINTMENT struck on Thursday following our dog's unusual 5th place after a messy getaway from his usually advantageous Trap 5 start.

Relative puppy Cool Cashin made use of trap 4 to help his typical middle run, but could only pull off a 4th, with Critical Time running wide to get the 3rd. Ibetx Dot Com struggled with his missed break, only to be run up by 6th Droopys Lenny, leaving 2nd to Sapphire Queen and Perrys Tango in 1st.

After last month's decisive firsts at Hove, there were few surprises at 7/4 favourite Perrys Tango's performance at this sprint.

It's hoped our dog will learn from his experience and return to the champion's form he is famous for.
